Consult the Card Library for the full directory of minion and Tavern spell pool updates.
Quality of Life: Updated Minion Frames
Battlegrounds minions now use Hearthstone class card frames appropriate to their minion type to make it easier to identify minion types when re-rolling in the Tavern. Assignments:
- Beasts – Hunter Frame
- Demons – Warlock Frame
- Dragons – Warrior Frame
- Elementals – Mage Frame
- Mechs – Paladin Frame
- Murlocs – Shaman Frame
- Naga – Demon Hunter Frame
- Pirates – Rogue Frame
- Quillboar – Druid Frame
- Undead – Death Knight Frame
- Typeless and All – Neutral Frame
Dual-Type minions will display Dual-Class card frames. This change affects only minion art frames, not Tavern spells, Trinkets, or other associated elements.
Dev note: Previously most Battlegrounds minions used the Neutral frame. This change aims to make minion types more instantly readable and improve the Battlegrounds experience.

Bug Fixes, Rules Updates, and Game Improvements
Key technical and rules fixes in Patch 32.2 include the following (selection):
- [General] Minimum iOS version increased to iOS 14.0.
- [Hearthstone] Dark Gift adjustments: Dark Gifts that grant keywords can no longer be applied to minions that already have one or more of those keywords (previously only fully redundant applications were blocked). Also, 0-Attack minions cannot receive the Sleepwalker Dark Gift (which grants Charge).
- [Hearthstone] Wallow the Wretched exception: if Wallow is moved from your hand to the top of your deck due to the Sweet Dreams Dark Gift, it will retain its Dark Gift enchantments (but not other enchantments, and not in other backward-zone movements).
- [Hearthstone] Evolve/Devolve rules clarified: evolving caps at 10 for minions that cost 10 or less; minions costing more than 10 evolve into a random minion of the same cost (possibly the same minion). When devolving, if an exact-cost result isn’t available, the effect continues devolving until a valid result is found.
- [Hearthstone] Starship Piece “when launched” effects will now always trigger in a random order.
- [Hearthstone] Effects that share the same resolution trigger will now resolve in timestamp order. (Example: Briarspawn Drake will always trigger its own effect before Cliff Dive’s “return to deck” effect.)
- [Hearthstone] Replaced Flint Firearm with Astalor Bloodsworn in the Splendiferous Whizbang (Deck of Legends — Hunter) Experimental Deck because Flint no longer worked in Standard after Quickdraw rotated out.
- [Hearthstone] Fixed Floppy Hydra so it no longer retained enchantments other than its own effect.
- [Hearthstone] Various bug fixes and visual improvements (Druid Imbue counter display on some mobile devices, Ohn’ahra interactions, Incindius spell buffs, Exarch Akama with Rush, Consume and location Durability, Sleepy Resident interaction with auto-attacking minions, Narain Soothfancy Fortunes transforms, Amphibian’s Spirit copy interactions, Cosplay Contestant/Dormant interactions, Forging Choose One reveal bug, Titan ability reveal bug, Druid Imbue art ordering, history tile visuals).
- [Battlegrounds] Numerous fixes: Arcanotron, Activated activation in Shop; Catacomb Crasher triggers; Slippery Slider Spellcraft interaction with Treasure-Seeker Elise; Efficient Engineer with Bountiful Bedrock; Rivendare Portrait stacking health; Dalaran Cheese Wheel stacking; Kerrigan Zergs permanence when Tripled into Golden; Pyramad Brick by Brick usage count; Battlecruiser and Showy Cyclist Deathrattle inheritance; Crabby and Aim Low! bonus; Wandering Wight with Pack Tactics; Alkali, Rock Rhino and generated Triple Rewards; Sire Denathrius Quest counter visual on some mobile devices.
- [Battlegrounds Duos] Fixed Refreshing Anomaly interaction (Rylak Metalhead) that incorrectly gave both players the free refresh; fixed Tamsin’s Phylactery triggering twice in a single combat when teammate defeated both enemies in prior combat.
- [Solo Content] Fixed a crash caused by Throw Rocks hero power in Mine Cart Rush; fixed an issue that made Dawngrasp’s Book of Mercenaries impossible to complete after recent card changes.
If you want a full, itemized list of every minion/spell pool change or all bug fixes, consult the official Card Library and patch notes pages in-game or on the Blizzard site.
