Patch 34.2.2, live 12/12/2025, brings balance updates for both Hearthstone (Standard) and Battlegrounds, plus several bug fixes.

Hearthstone Updates

Dev Comment: The Standard metagame looks relatively stable heading into the World Championships and the winter break, so this patch focuses on modest buffs for archetypes showing promise rather than sweeping nerfs. We’re nudging a few cards to open up more options—examples include Cardboard Golem for Aura Paladin and adjustments to Timelooper Toki to make its repeats easier to access.

We’ve also monitored decks like Discover Hunter and Hagatha Shaman. While they’re appearing in match data, their current power and play patterns don’t warrant changes right now. We’ll keep watching the meta and follow up in the new year as needed.

Dev Comment: This balance pass makes broad adjustments across many minion types in the Timewarped Tavern. Key aims: tone down a few overperformers, strengthen struggling tribes, and refresh the Timewarped card offerings so the Tavern feels more dynamic.
