Hearthstone Esports Heats Up in the Summer Playoffs!

Hearthstone Esports moves into the Summer Playoffs on July 19, with more than 150 players competing for a place in the Summer Championship. For leaderboard-focused players and competitive Hearthstone fans, this is the next major stop on the road to BlizzCon.

Summer Playoffs Schedule

  • Broadcast date: Sunday July 19
  • Start time: 12:00 a.m. PDT / 9:00 a.m. CEST / 4:00 p.m. KST
  • Broadcast stage: Sunday Top 8 for all 3 regions
  • Non-broadcast stage: Friday & Saturday Swiss rounds for all 3 regions

Tournament Format

  • Format: 4-deck, Best-of-5 Conquest
  • Ban rule: One ban
  • Qualification stakes: The Top 4 players from each region qualify for the Summer Championship in July-August

Who Is Competing?

Each region’s field is built from several qualification paths from the Summer Competitive Season.

  • The Top 50 Competitive Point earners for that region from the Competitive Season, May - June
  • The Top 4 players from each Open Qualifier during the Summer Competitive Season
  • The winner of each Summer Blitz Weekend tournament
