Reign of the Black Empire is now live, adding 135 collectible cards to Hearthstone. The expansion introduces the Assemble keyword, four Old Gods with deckbuilding restrictions, and Titan-forged cards. Tavern Rewards is also available through the Hearthstone Battle.net Shop.
Expansion Mechanics and Featured Cards
Old Gods: One Per Deck
C'Thun, N'Zoth, Yogg-Saron, and Y'Shaarj each have four unique abilities. The key deckbuilding restriction is that only one Old God can be included in a deck.
Assemble: Build Custom Minions
The new Assemble keyword lets players combine minions from a curated pool into custom creations, choosing combinations to suit their strategy.
Titan-Forged Cards
The Titan-forged are constructs created by the Titans to fight the Black Empire. Their cards offer additional tools and strategies against the Old Gods and their forces.
Tavern Pass Rewards
The Reign of the Black Empire Tavern Pass is available with the expansion. Its rewards include:
- Two Diamond Legendary cards: Ammunae and Rajh.
- Expansion packs, XP boosts, cosmetics, and additional cards.
Blizzard’s 37.0 Patch Notes provide further details on the wider patch.
