The Hearthstone World Championship returns to BlizzCon with 16 qualified players. The Group Stage runs September 8-10, followed by the live Knockout Stage at BlizzCon on September 12 and 13. The champion will earn the 2026 Hearthstone World Champion title and a $100,000 prize.
Schedule and Tournament Format
- Group Stage: September 8-10, beginning at 9:00 a.m. PDT each day.
- Knockout Stage Day 1: September 12, beginning at 11:00 a.m. PDT.
- Knockout Stage Day 2: September 13, beginning at 9:00 a.m. PDT.
- Format: 4-deck, Best-of-5 Conquest with a ban.
- Total prize pool: $500,000.
Group Stage
- Day 1: Initial and Winners’ Matches for Groups A and B.
- Day 2: Initial and Winners’ Matches for Groups C and D.
- Day 3: Elimination and Decider Matches for all four groups.
Knockout Stage
- Day 1: Top 8 single-elimination quarterfinals.
- Day 2: Semifinals and finals.
World Championship Viewing Rewards
Viewers can collect Escape from Violet Hold packs by watching the tournament on Twitch or YouTube.
- Each Group Stage day: 1x Escape from Violet Hold pack.
- Knockout Stage Day 1: 2x Escape from Violet Hold packs.
- Knockout Stage Day 2: 1x Escape from Violet Hold pack and 1x Golden Escape from Violet Hold pack.
Choose Your Champion
Choose Your Champion opens at 10:00 a.m. PDT on Thursday, September 3. Pack rewards increase based on the selected competitor’s final placement. Correctly choosing the winner of the 2026 Hearthstone World Championship also awards an additional Golden Escape from Violet Hold pack.
